U.S. Marine Corps 1st Sgt. Michael J. Marie Jr., a first sergeant with Black Sea Rotational Force, crosses the half-way checkpoint of the 50 kilometer ultra-marathon in, Bran, Romania, May 21, 2016. The 50K race is labeled as a difficult ultra-marathon with an elevation gain of 3,266 meters that crosses what is known as the most beautiful and mysterious regions of Eastern Europe.
