PACIFIC OCEAN (May 21, 2016) - Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Shawn Halmagyi directs an amphibious assault vehicle (AAV) as it departs the well deck of amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22). San Diego is currently underway off the coast of Southern California participating in a series of qualifications and certifications as part of the basic phase of training in preparation for future operations and deployments.
