160525-N-WE887-044 BROOKLYN (May 26, 2016) - Operations Specialist 1st Class Robert Dovel of Winchester, Va. and stationed onboard USS Farragut (DDG 99), works together with fellow volunteer Victoria Trentacoste mixing mortar to be used to lay new kitchen tile in a local home that was damaged by Hurricane Sandy during a Habitat for Humanity restoration project as a part of 2016 Fleet Week New York (FWNY), May 27. FWNY, now in its 28th year, is the city's time-honored celebration of the sea services. It is an unparalleled opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
