160527-N-YD083-073 NEW YORK (May 27, 2016) – The Ambassador of Peru sits with Sailors and Marines from the USS Bataan (LHD 5) while sharing an avocado smoothie for a Superfoods Breakfast honoring the men and women of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps hosted by Avocados from Peru during 2016 Fleet Week New York (FWNY), May 27. FWNY, now in its 28th year, is the city's time-honored celebration of the sea services. It is an unparalleled opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
