MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – The commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Robert Neller, speaks with Marines from 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, at Camp Pendleton May 24, 2016. The primary focus of this visit was to update the Marines on what’s going on around the Corps and to answer any questions they had. “The Marine Corps says to the nation that we’re the 911 force,” said Neller. “Readiness is what we do, it’s what we build every day, by training. So we need to train hard, take care of our gear and be ready when the time comes.” The Marines of the battalion are set to deploy with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit this fall.
