A gloved hand wipes down a component on the top of a CH-53D Sea Stallion at Al Asad, Iraq, June 28. Combined with the rays of the sun, the fluids running through the aircraft's engines create enormous temperatures for the maintenance Marines to work against. To keep their hands from being burnt, the maintainers with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463, Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, wear gloves during their daily inspections of the aircraft.
