A Navy aircraft director (right), along with a Navy aircraft handler (left), both sailors with USS Bataan, signal to a CH-53E Super Stallion pilot with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 461 (Reinforced), 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, that the chains and chalks are removed from the aircraft, and the aircraft is ready for flight, aboard USS Bataan, March 16. The 22nd MEU is deployed in support of Operation Unified Response, a multi-national relief effort to provide support to Haitians after an earthquake devastated the country Jan. 12.
