Garner, of Dearing, Ga., the platoon leader for the Georgia National Guard's 48th Brigade, 121st Light Infantry Regiment, 1st Battalion, Echo Company, Distribution Platoon, addresses members of his platoon as well as members of the Vermont National Guard who are replacing his unit prior to a logistics convoy from Forward Operating Base Lightning, Paktya province, Afghanistan, to Combat Outpost Herrera, March 17. The Distribution Platoon delivered construction supplies, food and anything else that the units they supported needed through all seven provinces in the 48th's area of operation.
