During a ceremony held at the Angel's Stadium, members of the Inland Empire Police Canine Association, represented that day by Sgt. Steven Goss, Cpl. Gilberto Naverrete of Marine Corps Police Department aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, and San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Phillips, received the Red Cross Hero Award for their response to the December 2015 terrorist attack in San Bernardino, May 13.
