Petty Officer 2nd Class Jacqueline Mitchell, a culinary specialist from Crystal Springs, Miss., fires a .50-caliber Browning machine gun during a live-fire training exercise aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall. Gunston Hall is on a scheduled deployment to West Africa supporting Africa Partnership Station West, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa to improve maritime safety and security in West and Central Africa.
