The P-51 Mustang Heritage Flight honors members of the armed forces during its flight at the 2016 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show – “Celebrating 75 Years” at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., April 29, 2016.
The P-51 Mustang Heritage Flight featured the current fighter and attack aircraft flying with World War II, Korea and Vietnam era fighters, who use flight to honor the brave men and women in the U.S. Air Force. This year’s air show celebrated MCAS Cherry Point and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s 75th anniversaries and featured 40 static displays, 17 aerial performers and a concert.
