160419-N-N0820-001 HONIARA, Solomon Islands (April 19, 2016) - Builder 2nd Class Justin Lieder, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, demonstrates proper internal and external visual inspections of SCUBA cylinders. UCT 2’s Construction Dive Detachment Alfa (CDDA) is conducting a Subject Matter Expert exchange with the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit on how to properly maintain dive equipment, as part of the Humanitarian Mine Action program. CDDA is on the fourth stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
