Brig. Gen. Jon T. Thomas, 86th Airlift Wing commander, provides opening remarks during an Air Force Chief of Staff Civic Leaders Program tour April 18, 2016, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. In addition to the luncheon where they were able to speak with Airmen, the civic leaders toured a C-130J Super Hercules simulator and aircraft, the air traffic control tower and an aircraft hangar to view presentations from Airmen assigned to the 435th Air Ground Operations Wing. The CSAF Civic Leader’s mission is a liaison program for military members to relay information back to the American public in support of the Air Force.
