(April 24, 2016) - Equipment Operator Constructionman Neil Cowan directs Equipment Operator 3rd Class Austin Murphy, both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, while using a forklift to move deck panels for placement while erecting a Mabey Johnson Bridge during the battalion’s Field Training Exercise (FTX). The FTX prepares and tests the battalion's ability to enter hostile locations, build assigned construction projects and defend against enemy attacks using realistic scenarios while being evaluated by NCG 1.
