During a Forward Operating Base Farah weightlifting competition sponsored by the U.S. Air Force 10-person aerial port team stationed on the FOB, U.S. Army Spc. Derek Faulk, a member of the 4-73rd Cavalry, 82nd Airborne Division, prepares to bench-press 405 pounds, Farah, Afghanistan, Feb. 12. Faulk competed in the heavyweight class taking first place with a total of 1,445 pounds lifted in the bench press, squat and dead lift events.
