Marines and Okinawa residents begin the 10 kilometer competitive race during the annual Camp Hansen Mud Run April 24 aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The mud run allowed Status of Forces Agreement members and Okinawa residents to come together and overcome physical challenges throughout the courses of various distances and obstacles. During the event, attendees ran three, five and 10 kilometer cross-country style courses over pavement, muddy slopes and pits. Participants received various prizes such as t-shirts, towels and medals. Attendees also enjoyed carnival rides, games and a vast assortment of foods from local vendors.
