NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (April 22, 2016) -- Aviation Ordnanceman 1st Class Sean Smith briefs Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) Sailors on safety prior to picking up litter during an Adopt-A-Spot community relations (COMREL) volunteer event for Earth Day. The Adopt-A-Spot program allows groups or organizations to "adopt" a spot in the local area to pick up in order to keep the area clean.
