Marines carry the casket of Lance Cpl. Giancarlo Goyone during a dignified transfer March 30 aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Those closest to Goyone remember him for his child-like glee and appreciation for the simple things in life. “Goyone was like a brother to me,” said Cpl. Johnwilson Navarro, an electrician with Facilities Engineer Division and former roommate of Guyone. “I remember him just staying up all night on a weekend just to play StarCraft with his best friends back home in Virginia, he would laugh so hard, he’d cry. I’ve never seen such a huge smile on a person. Those are the moments I will cherish forever.”
