    Naktong Bulge Battle Study

U.S. Marines and Sailors from 1st Battalion, 3d Marines (V13), also known as “The Lava Dogs”, and members of Combat Logistics Battalion 3 (CLB-3) conduct a battle study on the first and second battles of the Naktong Bulge, two engagements that defined the character of the Marine Corps for the 20th Century and beyond. This battle study was conducted at the conclusion of Korean Marine Exchange Program (KMEP) 16-7 near Daegu, South Korea on April 18, 2016. Exercises on the Korean peninsula provide an excellent opportunity for Marines and Sailors to personally experience the geography and conditions under which Marines of the past fought for the existence of the Marine Corps and established our reputation as a premier fighting force.
