Spc. Jesse Colon of Des Moines, Iowa, a Soldier with the 444th Chemical Company based in Galesburg, Illinois, clears a vault running through the confidence course during the Illinios Best Warrior Competition at Marseilles Training Center in Marseilles, Illinois, April 8. The Illinois Best Warrior Competition pits the top Soldiers across the state against each other in a multitude of events designed to test their physical fitness, mental toughness, and their competence at warrior skills. The winners of the competition become the state's Soldier and NCO of the Year and go on to compete against Soldiers from surrounding states at regional completions across the country in May.
