An Air Mobility Command C-21 is seen coming in for a landing over a parked KC-10 Extender at a non-disclosed base in Southwest Asia on Feb. 10. The KC-10 Extender, deployed from Travis Air Force Base, Calif., is a part of the 908th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing. KC-10s assigned to the 908th EARS fly combat air refueling missions in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa and Operation Iraqi Freedom. The KC-10 is the Air Force's largest tanker and in 2009, aircraft assigned to the 908th EARS flew more than 4,700 combat missions offloading more than 422 million pounds of fuel to more than 31,400 aircraft.
