Kimberly Sekera fires a three-round burst from an M16-A4 service rifle during the live-fire portion of the Educators’ Workshop aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., March 30, 2016. The workshop is a four-day program designed to better inform high school educators and community influencers about the benefits and opportunities available during service in the Marine Corps. This allows the attendees to return to their place of business and provide first-hand experience and knowledge with individuals interested in military service. Sekera is a school counselor for Oyster River High School in Durham, N.H.
