U.S. Marine Sgt. Josh Greathouse, a team leader with Company B, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command (SPMAGTF-CR-CC), fires an M240B machine gun during a test firing range at Al Taqaddum, Iraq, March 21, 2016. The Marines test-fired the weapons to ensure proper operability as they prepare to turn over responsibilities as the security forces element for Task Force Al Taqaddum (TFTQ) to 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment. SPMAGTF-CR-CC Marines are responsible for the force protection of coalition assets at some Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve bases within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility as part of the effort to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant.
