U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Antonio J. Vicens-Gonzalez, Adjutant General, Puerto Rico National Guard, San Juan, Puerto Rico, presides over a promotion and award ceremony with the 1st Battalion, 65th Infantry Regiment here Feb. 6. As the adjutant general, he is the governor's senior military advisor and oversees both state and federal mission of the Puerto Rico National Guard. Vicens-Gonzalez provides leadership and management in the implementation of all programs and policies affecting more than 10,000 Soldiers and Airmen and three components of the Puerto Rico National Guard: Army National Guard, Air National Guard and State Guard.
