Cadet Hannah Oravec from Sarasota Military Academy in Florida, takes aim at a small target some 10 meters (33 feet) away during the 2016 JROTC National Air Rifle Championship in Anniston, Ala., on March 19. SMA, an Army affiliate, is one of the 73 schools that sent 56 teams as well as numerous individual shooters representing all four U.S. Forces. Teams and individuals shot their way through various local and regional competitions in order to qualify for this culminating event. Jacob is a high school senior who will attend Virginia Military Institute and compete on ther rifle team. Next to Oravec is a screen that allows her to see where each shot hits.
