ONSLOW BAY, N.C. (Mar. 21, 2016) Boatswain's Mate Seaman Damien Galarza, a native of Philadelphia, directs landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 85, assigned to Assault Craft Unit 4 (ACU 4) out of the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5). LCACs are used by the Navy to transport equipment, cargo and personnel. Bataan is currently underway conducting routine qualifications in preparation for her future deployment.
