Afghan border police 6th Kandak commander, Col. Niazy, and Georgia Army National Guard's 1st Squadron, 108th Cavalry Regiment commander, Lt. Col. Randall V. Simmons, prepare to broadcast a message to the people in the Shinwar district's new radio station. The message was a follow-up to an anti-Taliban Shiwari Pact jirga at the Kandak headquarters. The radio station is a gift to the people of that region and part of a media information initiative sponsored by the International Security Assistance Forces' counterinsurgency program.
