Hastings, a squad automatic weapon gunner assigned to Troop C, 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, after administering the oath of enlistment at a re-enlistment ceremony at Forward Operating Base Fenty in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, Jan. 18. Looking on is Spc. Justin L. Hastings, a truck driver assigned to Company G, 2nd Battalion, 77th Field Artillery Regiment, Josh's identical twin brother. The Hastings brothers of Brandon, Fla., both decided to re-enlist during a 12-month deployment to eastern Afghanistan.
