Jeff Heames, the commanding officer of USS Preble (DDG 88) engages with Preble service members during "The Bridge" pilot program, an innovation workshop initiated by U.S. Pacific Fleet to encourage thought-provoking and innovative ideas by service members and Department of Defense employees in an open forum. Attendees were given the opportunity to pitch their ideas for improving standards and practices within the Navy, with three finalists being selected March 31, 2016 by Adm.
