A member of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force acts as security during a raid mission at Kin Blue, Okinawa Japan, Mar. 11. The intent of the mission was to stop a mock smuggling organization. The JGSDF members incorporated a variety of techniques they observed from 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The techniques include scout swimming, nautical navigation, beach securing, and reconnaissance. The members are with the 43rd Infantry Regiment. (U.S. Marine photo by Cpl.
