Josh Calhoun, a shooter aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) from Greensboro, N.C., signals a F/A-18E Super Hornet from the Sunliners of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 81 to launch from the ship's flight deck. Washington is homeported in Norfolk after serving seven years in Yokosuka, Japan, as the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
