Rear Adm. David R. Callahan, Commander, 8th Coast Guard District (left), Master Chief Petty Officer Ryan Fahlenkamp, 8th District Command Master Chief (center right), Master Chief Petty Officer Joe Pasqua, 8th District Reserve Command Master Chief (right), formally recognize Petty Officer 2nd Class Paul Jacob (center left) by presenting a plaque for his nomination of the 8th District Enlisted Person of the Year, March 4, 2016. The 8th District Enlisted Person of the Year Award is a district-wide award, which honors the top-performing enlisted member. After the award, the recipient is then submitted to compete in the Coast Guard Enlisted Person of the Year Award, which selects the top-performing member out of the Coast Guard.
