NORFOLK, Va. (Feb. 25, 2016) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class David Gerard assigned to Fleet Surgical Team (FST) 8 prepares and inspects all of the tools required for surgery during a mass casualty drill aboard amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). The drill, which consisted of Sailors from Wasp, FST 8, FST 6, FST 2, and actors from Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, was done for the Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and evaluated by Surface Force Atlantic (SURFLANT) to test the ships ability to do surgery.
