In the operating room at the 37th Military Hospital, Accra, Ghana, Feb. 23, 2016, American and Ghanaian medical professionals work alongside each other with an emergent case to perform a right extramandibular tumor excision on a female patient during the Medical Readiness Training Exercise 16-2. The U.S. Army’s increased cooperation with African partners and education provided to Ghanaian health care providers in the areas of general surgery and trauma response, will enhance the health of Ghanaian families and create a positive impact for the country.
