In the trauma ward at the 37th Military Hospital, American and Ghanaian medical professionals work alongside each other with a trauma case to perform a wound debridement procedure on an 8-year-old boy, who suffered a knee laceration after getting hit by a car, in Accra, Ghana, on Feb. 23, 2016. The U.S. Army’s increased cooperation with their African partners and the education they provide to Ghanaian health care providers in the areas of general surgery and trauma response, will enhance the health of Ghanaian families and create a positive impact for the country.
