EASTERN COAST OKINAWA (Feb. 20, 2016) – Hull Technician Fireman Nicholas Duran awaits instructions to proceed up a ladder well during a main space fire drill aboard amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42). Germantown is assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (BHRARG) and is participating in a certification exercise (CERTEX) with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). She is scheduled to join amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) and amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) at a later date.
