U.S. Marines use hand line hoses to put out spot fires on an engulfed aircraft during a training event as part of exercise Cobra gold 16 at Utapao, Thailand, Feb. 19, 2016. Marines worked with Royal Thai Sailors throughout the exercise to practice firefighting and rescue capabilities. Cobra Gold is a multi-national exercise that provides an opportunity for participating nations to increase relations and interoperability. The Marines are with the aircraft rescue and firefighting section with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
