160212-N-RM689-630 GULF OF THAILAND (Feb. 12, 2016) - A Royal Thai Navy (RTN) Seahawk (S-70B) helicopter prepares to land on amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland’s (LSD 48) flight deck during flight quarters marking the first time a helicopter from RTN has landed on Ashland. Ashland is assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, and is participating in exercise Cobra Gold 16, a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored multinational joint exercise designed to advance regional security by exercising a robust multinational force from nations sharing common goals and security commitments in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
