During a Feb. 12, 2016, luncheon hosted at Camp Kenjun in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, Army Command Sgt. Maj. Eric C. Dostie (center), command sergeant major, United States Army Japan (USARJ), presents to his JGSDF Western Army counterparts the latest issue of the “NCO Update,” the first newsletter published by USARJ that features the missions, capabilities and achievements of the USARJ and JGSDF noncommissioned officer corps. Dostie and his team met Western Army’s most senior leaders to discuss past successes, current challenges and future opportunities among USARJ, JGSDF and their respective noncommissioned officer corps. Dostie plans to meet with the command sergeant majors of every JGSDF regional army prior to relinquishing his command to Army Command Sgt. Maj.
