GULF OF THAILAND (Feb. 10, 2016)-Sailors assigned to amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) signal to Marines as they prepare to depart in an MV-22 Osprey aircraft attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 (VMM-262), during flight quarters. Ashland is assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Ready Group, and is participating in exercise Cobra Gold 16, a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored multinational joint exercise designed to advance regional security by exercising a robust multinational force from nations sharing common goals and security commitments in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
