160212-N-GZ947-073 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 12, 2016) - Seaman Jay Kelly, from Princeton, W.Va., rigs a sliding padeye in USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) hangar bay. A sliding padeye is used to transport cargo between ships during a replenishment-at-sea. Providing a combat-ready force to protect collective maritime interests, Stennis is operating as part of the Great Green Fleet on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment.
