160201-N-ZZ999-001 PEARL HARBOR (Feb. 1, 2016) - Steelworker 1st Class Jesse Hamblin, assigned to Underwater Construction Team(UCT) 2, brazes lead wires to steel reinforcing bar as part of a new cathodic protection system. UCT 2’s Construction Dive Detachment Alfa (CDDA) is conducting pier repair on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam to help prolong Third Fleet assets. CDDA is on the first stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
