Brigadier Gen. James W. Bierman, commanding general, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego/Western Recruiting Region, leads Marines of Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, on their motivational run at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 4. The run marks the last physical exercise Marines participate in during recruit training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Lima Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 5.
