Marines and Sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 7 practice coordinating distances for range cards during a non-infantry machine gunners’ course from Jan. 25-29, 2016. CLB-7 is required to provide combat logistics support to infantry units in any environment in order to allow them to prepare for and sustain combat operations. The course provides and instills skills needed throughout its training days. "We learn the characteristics, how to perform immediate [and] remedial actions and the rates of fire," said Petty Officer 3rd Class Kim Sunjin, a corpsman with CLB-7. "Then, we get into machine gun tactics and my favorite part, firing the weapons." The course is tailored to improve the Marines’ and Sailors’ combat effectiveness to increase their sense of self-reliance. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. April L. Price/Released)
