Dr. Paul Stockton, assistant secretary of defense for Homeland Defense and Americas' Security Affairs, speaks to a class of approximately 60 service members and civilians attending the Defense Support to Civil Authorities course Jan. 5 in San Antonio. Stockton spoke of the importance of DSCA and the vital role everyone plays in helping to improve upon the valued program. "We need to make progress in strength in unity of effort far beyond that which exists today," said Stockton. "You all are going to be critical in making progress in the realm of unity of effort and in saving lives when catastrophe strikes."
