160120-N-ZZ999-002 PEARL HARBOR (Jan. 20, 2016) - Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Ben McCallum, assigned to Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, uses an oxygen acetylene torch to connect wires to enable a cathodic protection system on a concrete pile. UCT 2's Construction Dive Detachment Alfa (CDDA) is conducting pier repair on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam to help prolong Third Fleet assets. CDDA is on the first stop of their deployment, where they are conducting inspection, maintenance, and repair of various underwater and waterfront facilities in support of the Pacific Fleet.
