160122-N-GZ947-032 PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 22, 2016) - Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) 2nd Class Antwan Greene, from Miami, gives the signal to clear the catapult after conducting a final check on an F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to the Warhawks of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 97 before takeoff on USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) flight deck. Providing a combat-ready force to protect collective maritime interests, Stennis is operating as part of the Great Green Fleet in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment.
