Coast Guard Commandant, Adm. Paul Zukunft and his wife, celebrate Coast Guard aviation reaching its 100th year, Jan. 22, 2016, at Air Station Houston. The celebration took place on the birthday of Cmdr. Elmer Stone, the Coast Guard's first aviator who was the sole pilot and navigator on his first successful trans-Atlantic flight in 1919 .
