SAN DIEGO (Jan. 19, 2016) Seaman Taylor Adams heaves around on a line while preparing amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) to depart for a missile exercise (MISSILEX). New Orleans is part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), which is off the coast of Southern California completing a missile exercise (MISSILEX). MISSILEX is the final evaluation of the weapons systems aboard the Boxer ARG prior to deployment and is intended to ensure their readiness to conduct integrated missions across the full spectrum of military operations.
