Members of the 101st Rescue Squadron conduct Water Survival Training (WST) near Homestead Air Reserve Base on Jan. 20, 2016. During this training, members train on the use of seven and twenty man survival rafts, the ability to work as a team in open water, and the use of their survival equipment. Additionally, aircrew members must conduct multiple dunks in the Shallow Water Egress Trainer in a four-foot, man-made pool, and demonstrate an ability to exit an aircraft while upside down and completely submerged under water. After conducting combat survival training in the subtropical Florida Everglades, aircrew must continue on to WST before completing their currency training. (U.S. Air National Guard / Staff Sgt.
